Time to Turn Off Your Landscape Irrigation

Its that time of year again!

Indigenous Peoples Day is generally the best time to shut down your irrigation system.  You will want to start by turning off the water main to the valves. For most this will be accomplished by accessing the stop and waste with the long water key and giving it a quarter turn.

Overhead Sprinklers and Drip Zones

It is recommend to have your lawn overhead sprinklers winterized and the PVC lines blown out.  The Drip Irrigation does not need to be blown out.

Winterizing The Backflow Preventer

If you have a backflow preventer it is recommended to follow the manufactures instructions. Most backflow preventers require adjustments to the ball valves and pressure vessel.

Check Out This Landscape Transformation!

We are adding our final touches to this xeriscape. This installation has a sprawling local flagstone patio, flickering gas fire and an inviting sitting wall that beckons visitors to linger and enjoy this lush water-saving sanctuary.

A no-mow fragrant thyme lawn adds a touch of sensory delight and fragrance. And don’t miss the custom steel and wood bench, perfectly placed for peaceful moments. Dark Sky Certified lighting illuminates the pathways, creating an enchanting ambiance for cozy evenings beside the fire. This yard is more than just a landscape; it’s a invitation to escape and unwind.

These next few photos show what the yard looked like before we started our transformation.
